Deadly Premonition : The director's cut Review

As to be expected, i have mixed feelings about this game, but overall i enjoyed it quite a lot.
In technical aspects the game is really weak, the frame-rate, graphics, mouth movement, among other things. You can really see that this game was made with low budget. But if you learn to love all that, you will really enjoy this game.
Characters are quite interesting, specially our protagonist Francis York Morgan. Since the plot is murder/crime themed  i can't really give it away or i will spoil it. The routine of this game is really interesting, and the dialogues between our main character and his imaginary friend Zach are the best (For example, there is one time that they are talking about 80s b-horror movies; and in another occasion they are talking about John Williams work and Richard Donner's films.).
The atmosphere of this game is really dark and bizarre (like most moments of the game), and sometimes it's reminiscing of both Silent hill  and Twin Peaks, it's a strange mixture but it oddly works in this game.
This game is a cult classic, it may not reach Silent hill's terrifying psychological horror nor Twin Peaks bizarre brilliance, it's most definitely worth checking out. It's certainly better and more atmospheric than the latest survival horror games.
